| The Primary School Western Band consists of 41 members. It is a keyboard band. The band performs at the annual Sports Meet, the First Holy communion and they welcome the grade one’s on their first day of school. The Western Band was first formed over forty years ago. At present the band is trained by Ms. Shyanila Dayawansa and Ms. Upeka Kupparawaduge. It is the sound of the Primary Western Band that is still heard today at every special event that takes place in the Primary School of Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
