This club was formed by the students of Grade: 6 and above, to help the needy in more ways than just raising funds.

The name of this club says it all; this club consists of Familians who “REACH-OUT” willingly to help grow poor children and their families in education as well as nutrition.

Their annual project consists of camp-outs, where the members of this club go to schools in rural areas in Sri Lanka And spend a few days with poor children, sharing and experiencing their joys and sorrows; thus enabling them to mix and mingle different people and cultures. Most members of the Outreach change overnight from shy, quiet girls to impressive, touching speakers.

One of their most recent projects was the 3 day trip to Kanjukkuliya, Chilaw, where they spent 3 days and 2 nights educating 125 children of one particular school in the aim of building up their personalities and encouraging them to aim higher in their studies and lives.

Another project was carried out successfully, where a massive collection of dry rations was collected from the whole school and these rations were sent up North to the war victims of Sri Lanka.

The members of this club work very efficiently together with the teachers as one big family spurred on by a common goal.

Anyone from the Grades 6 and above is free to join this club by paying the annual membership fee of Rs.50 to one of the treasurers. So, if you are interested in social work, come join the Familian Outreach.
