Hindu Union The office bearers of the Hindu union were appointed on the 10th of June, 2009. They are as follows: President- Suvapna Selvaraj Secretary- Vidushalini Balasubramanium Treasurer- Niloshika Sri Ranga Teachers in-charge Mrs.Tharaka Babu Mrs.Jayanthi Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya being a Catholic school, has its religious unions to show the equality among the multi-religious students in school. Hinduism is more like a way of life, and through the Hindu Union we give an opportunity to our Hindu students to learn the importance of the Hindu rituals and customs. We are planning to have some competitions in order to improve their knowledge on Hinduism. The competitions that are held annually are the Hindu essay competition and the Hindu speech competition. We also get the opportunity to portray our students’ talents, by participating in the inter-school Hindu union competitions held by other schools. We are planning on having our annual “Kalaimagal Vizha” in a very colorful and interesting manner this year.
