The Legion of Mary is the oldest religious society in our school. It is known as the praesidium of Our Lady of the Annunciation.

The meetings are held on every Thursday at 1.45 p.m. with an average of 15 active members. We do have 35 auxiliaries. Our praesidium is under the Colombo junior curia. One or two office bearers attend curia meetings once a month.

The present office bearers of the praesidium are

Treasurer - Samadhi Lakshani

Legionaries make it their goal to be the leaven among their companions in school. They render their services to everyone with the spirit and solitude of our lady. Thoughts for the week are presented in the form of posters or verse and displayed on the legion notice board. During the month of May the legionaries take the initiative to organize the daily rosary and the may procession.

The main aim as legionaries is to lead an exemplary life of Mary. We visit the orphanage “Maw Sevana” run by the senior legionaries. We spend some time with the children playing distributing gifts and giving them every able time and making them happy.

We are very grateful to our spiritual directress Sr. Cynthia Liguary(H.F) who is always there to guide, direct, encourage, and support in all our endeavours. We are indeed grateful to our blessed mother for her loving care and protection, blessings which she has showered upon us to continue the legion.
