The Y.C.S of Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya has been a guiding light to the young Christians of our school for the past 20 years. It has been a source of spiritual upliftment as well as a tower of strength, when they encounter troubles in their lives. Therefore we can proudly say that the Y.C.S has been successfully going about the business of “forming” and “moulding” much number of young minds. Unlike the young generation in the modern society who resort to violence to make their voice heard, the young Christian students try to better the word by setting an example through their good deeds; true to their motto

“We are not making a revolution, we are the revolution’’

The Y.C.S encourages its students to take part in various activities which also includes the projects done by our Y.C.S under the guidance of Ms Premila Preena the teacher in charge. Among them is the visit to the mother Theresa’s Home for orphan children, and ‘Marc Sri’ home where disabled and orphan children are taken care of. These visits which brought immense happiness to their lives showed us that a little kindness can go a long way.

Our Annual Y.C.S Day as well as the other get-togethers of the Y.C.S members of the neighbouring schools and parishes give the students a chance to uncover their hidden talents. It is also a chance to interact with the young Christians wider knowledge about the society they live in.
