| Primary Library Our school not only owns a good college Library but our Primary students have now become proud owners of a very homely and welcoming Primary Library. This was also a project initiated by the PTA and the library was opened on the 8th of May 2008. This has become a very exciting and welcoming place for our younger Familians to be in. Our Primary librarians, Ms Hyacinth Perera and Ms Piumi Rajapaksha make sure that the Primary students grow to love reading. The Grade 1 and Grade 2 students get a story-telling hour where they listen to a interesting story being read out to them with lots of animation. Grade 3 to 8 students who also access this library are allowed to borrow a book each week. Recent buzz surrounding the library and related activities. Primary library day A day dedicated to reading was organized for our students to further enhance their love for reading. Competitions were organized for all age groups and the students got a special surprise when the renowned childrens’ author Ms Sybil Wettasinghe spent a lively hour of Story-telling. Frederic Vester’s latest science book “Ecopolicy” is now available at the College Library. A book week and author visits are scheduled to be held for students. More details will be available with the librarians. Students and Past Pupils can now extend a helping hand by bringing used books, but in a good condition to be shared with current and future generations of Familians by handing them over to the library.
