Eleven students from our school participated at the “Ekamuthu Ore Makkal” Unity Mission Camp held in Mannar from 27^th to 30^th December 2011. The camp was organized by the Unity Mission Trust, an organization established to foster and facilitate national unity and reconciliation amongst chidren from all the areas of Sri Lanka.

          The oratory, drama, art and craft, singing and sports competitions, in which the students from all over the country participated, created the opportunity to form and strengthen bonds among them. Even though they didn't all speak the same language, they were able to communicate and build new and lasting friendships through gestures, hand signals and comical amateur art. This made them realize that language is not a barrier in the journey towards peace.
